Plot Twist Studio is unapologetically Y2K — low-rise, cropped, asymmetric, often metallic — but reinterpreted with an adult body in mind. The brand exists for the millennial who lived through the original Y2K era and wants to revisit it without looking like a teenager. Sizing is broader than the original era allowed; cuts are designed to flatter rather than shock. Plot Twist is genuinely gender-fluid — every piece is shown on multiple body types and genders in editorial. The brand has built a strong following through TikTok and Instagram and ships globally to 40+ countries.
Roxie Lin
Roxie Lin grew up in Queens and studied at Parsons before founding Plot Twist Studio in 2021. She is twenty-eight, openly queer, and designs the brand from a Bushwick studio. Her aesthetic is informed equally by 2003 mall culture and her parents' Hong Kong upbringing.
